Reflections on 2020

Here at Zestfull, we can’t say that 2020 was all that bad. Without the lockdown, we might not even be here. Shahla and Kortney concocted their plans to launch this online magazine and used the forced slow down to make it happen.
As a young four-month-old site we are thankful for all those who support us. Even in this short time, there has been some fantastic content produced, so we thought we would share the top posts in our categories.

What 2021 will bring
In the magazine: EAT
We are excited to continue our exploration of how folks with food allergies can access their food roots in our new series called Flavors of Culture, previously known as Global Kitchen. Each month we will bring you a different story about how cultural dishes are embraced and recipes adapted to fit with our guests’ allergies.
Flavors of Culture will also explore how we enjoy flavors from around the world if we cannot eat them because of food allergies.
See Shahla’s article about her Pakistani roots and how she adapted her favourite recipes from her childhood so her daughter can also experience them.
Zestfull EAT content will focus on Confidence in the Kitchen this upcoming year. We will be bringing you more allergy-friendly recipes using seasonal whole ingredients. We will continue to share more videos and live demos on Instagram, Youtube and Facebook! Sharpen your knives and get ready to gain more confidence in the kitchen as we cook together.
Want to get started already? Try one of our favorite winter soups, Roasted Cauliflower Soup.

Beauty
Stay tuned for more allergy-friendly beauty tips from our Beauty contributor Keila Alleyne. Next year we look forward to sharing a follow-up to our allergen-free nighttime skincare routine, provide resources for hidden allergens in beauty products and share additional beauty tips. Prepare to get your glam on!
Teens
Sophie, our teen contributor will be back sharing more on what it is like to navigate life as an allergy-teenager. Sophie will be launching 2021 with reflections on how COVID-19 has shaped her formative years. Get ready Ready to hear what Gen Z has to say.
Nutrition
We will be continuing our series on Intuitive Eating and nutrition with Alida Iacobellis because we have barely scratched the surface of what having a positive relationship with food looks like. Food is more than just fuel. Time for satisfaction in every forkful!
In the magazine: EXPLORE
Our explore section has been a little quiet since our launch. We hope to see more travel in 2021 because if you are like us we are feeling the travel bug slowly creeping.
Offline
We are cooking up something that involves post allergy diagnosis and empowerment. That’s about all we can say for now, but it is going to be grand!
