Crunchy Chickpeas

Crunchy chickpeas are great in a salad or as a quick protein filled snack.



  • 2 cans of chickpeas (2 x 425g can)
  • 12 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Pinch of salt


  1. Preheat oven at 225°C or 480°F
  2. Strain, rinse and dry the chickpeas.
  3. Mix the chickpeas with the spices and salt. The amount of spices you use depends on how spicy you want it.
  4. Spread the chickpeas evenly on a non-stick tray or a tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake the chickpeas for 35 minutes. Turn off the oven and leave them in for 20 minutes to an hour depending on how crunchy you want them.
